Why Disney?

I am often asked why I love Disney as much as I do. I don't just love Disney but I try to live a Disney life. More than likely on a day to day basis you are going to find me wearing something Disney. The days where I don't have something Disney on makes people gasp. So let me see if I can somewhat explain my love of Disney.
We recently did family pictures and the theme was wear something Disney!

The simplest thing I can say is, it makes me smile. I can't help but smile when I hear a song that is played at one of the theme parks or smell a smell that reminds me of Main Street USA or the water on Pirates of the Caribbean. Those things instantly take me back and take me out of any stressful situation and give me a moment of peace.

When I walk onto Mainstreet USA and I get closer and closer to turning the corner and am about to see Cinderella's castle for the first time on this trip my heart is beating a million miles a minute. The second I lay eyes on that castle the water works start coming and I take a deep breath and mutter the words "I'm home". I don't know when or why I started this it just happened and I still do this. When I am at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or on a Disney Cruise Ship I feel joy, happiness, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning again. I feel free to be me and let lose and be silly and dance and to just have fun. I love the theming of the parks and all of the attention to detail. These parks were created from love and I intend to love them to the fullest.

I just connect with Disney and it is just a huge part of who I am. Disney brings joy into my life and I am so thankful for that!

What is it about Disney that you love?

Welcome!

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, and welcome to my brand new Disney blog! I am not much of a writer but I have a huge passion for Disney so I thought I would try out a Disney blog.

For those of you that don't know me my name is Casey and I am 36 years old and happily married to my very own prince charming! Together we have 5 amazing daughters ages 14, 13, 11, 9, and 5.  When I am not at Disney you can find me at the dance studio with my girls as it is two of their passions and they put many hours into it. Family is everything to me and I am not sure what else to say about that!

My love for Disney started when I was very young. I started going to Disneyland when I was very little as we lived close and once we moved to Texas from California those Disney trips turned into trips to Walt Disney World. We would take at least one trip a year and almost all of my childhood memories revolved around our Disney trips, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Of course when I had children they started going to Walt Disney World as soon as possible and then we branched out to the Disney Cruise Line and I am happy to say our household is filled with little Disney lovers!

In just 39 days of righting this post my family and I will be on the road to Walt Disney World to spend two weeks at the "Most Magical Place on Earth".  My daughter will get to celebrate her 13th birthday while we are there and my husband and I will get to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary while there! In case you were wondering, yes we went to Walt Disney World on our honeymoon!

I have a chronic illness that has been getting me down the past couple of weeks so I am hoping that by sharing my stories of Disney and hopefully someday engaging with others and their stories it will take my mind of the pain and just bring the pure happiness that is Disney!
